Columbia College

Columbia college war originally started as Columbia school in 1890 by Ida Morey and Marry A Blood. Marry remained the president of the college till 1927. she created a coeducational school that provided education in a much better way and with much quality. In 1905 the name of the school was changed to Columbia college of Expression. In the year of 1944 the college again changed its name; the new name was Columbia College.

At the present time Columbia College offers more than a hundred programs and has strength of 11,000 students. It is the largest media and arts institution of the nation. Due to its size the institution uses the latest technology available and for this reason it is the best considered in the field of arts and media.

The college regularly holds different events organized by students and faculty members. In the month of March the following two events are going to be held.

1. 15th Annual Honors Exhibition.
2. Secrets

The 15th Annual Honors Exhibition will be held on March 28, 2008. The time for the event is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The exhibition includes students having achievements in the field of fashion, photography, television and graphic design. The location of the event is Hokin Gallery and Hokin Annex, 623 South Wabash Ave. 1st Floor.

Secrets will be held on March 26, 2008. The location of the event is Glass Curtain Gallery, 1104 S. Wabash Ave. The time is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
